Hi students, just a reminder that we are closed tonight in observance of
Martin Luther King Day. Throughout 2014 I will be closed on all Federal
Holidays, including President's Day next month. Anyway, enjoy some time
to rest, do your homework, eat dinner as a family and stretch.
We'll be open for regular classes Tuesday thru Thursday. Saturday is our
first in-school mini tournament (Class C). I will be making a decision on
Wednesday night if we are still a "go" for this event. Minimum we need 30
paid attendees and we need 10 judges to host the event. If you are on the
list, please pay by Wednesday evening. In the unlikely event that we
need to reschedule, your fees for this event will either be used toward
your next testing or held for the next mini-tournament date (likely in
late March/early April).
Tuesday night's class schedule is:
4:30 pm Tigers
5:00 pm Team X Elite
5:45 pm All Rank Karate Kid Sparring Class
6:30 pm White-Green ALL AGE class
7:15 All Rank Teen and Adult class
See you on Tuesday.
Congratulations to Athena Valdez who won the drawing from the Vendor event
last Saturday. The ladies that set up in the school were quite impressed
with our classes, students and positive atmosphere! Thanks to all of you
who made quite an impression on our visitors. The vendors were chosen by
a new friend of mine from a local networking group. I am not a member or
customer of any of their respective companies, but welcomed the
opportunity to showcase what were were about to them.
We also hosted 12 women in a self-defense seminar on Saturday afternoon.
Beginning on February 6, I will be teaching a morning self-defense class
at 9:00am to a group of men and women from the Jeffco Open Space group for
8 weeks. If any of my adult students would like to commit and be a part
of this morning group by committing for the full 8 weeks please see me for
a very special rate.
See you on the Mat.
