Hi everyone, so excited for all of you. Big week.
Tonight, testing Awards Ceremonies and Feedback from last week's testing.
Remember, do not compare yourself to the other students, you are graded
based on your individual focus, behavior, technique and improvement. One
of the hardest things for most students is the transition from a beginner
(white-yellow) to an intermediate student (camp-purple). Intermediate
students are graded a bit more strict to prepare you for higher rank.
Your behavior on and off the mat are an integral part of your journey in
becoming a well-rounded martial artist and a future black belt. Your
technique is highly scrutinized for proper technique (i.e. hands up,
proper pivot and chamber). The judges and I noted several areas needing
attention and as always, we encourage each other as well as you to set a
new set of goals (i.e. a to do list) to improve.
Awards/Feedback will occur in each of your regular classes tonight.
Please attend the class of the belt color you wore at testing.
5:15 pm White-Green Belts Kids 12 and younger
6:00 pm Team Vital Force practice class
6:30 pm Purple-Black Kids 12 and younger
7:15 pm All Rank Adults/Teens 13 and older
We are officially starting our new session this week. Parents, this is
the time to step into class and lead by example. I know several of you
are "thinking about it" -- now is the time to "be about it".
Special class schedule this Saturday (to accommodate) a special event at
Collegiate Academy.
Saturday, May special class times:
9:00-9:45 am ALL WHITE-BLUE BELTS (all kids and adults)
9:30 am Team X Elite (meet in Studio B to self train with Ms. Taylor
Anderson for Collegiate Demo, at 9:45, use the main floor until 10:30 am)
10:30 am - 11:30 am BROWN-BLACK ALL AGE CLASS
11-2 pm booth at Collegiate Academy
1:30-1:45 pm Team X Elite perform
Also this weekend we have several instructors taking the next step to earn
their next leadership/instructor collars.
