Hi everyone, what a busy week it has been.
Camp is underway and it's been a blast so far. For campers coming on
Wednesday, it's water gun day. Please bring, if you have it, an extra
container to carry water to the park, like a 2 gallon container you might
use for camping. Of course, wear sunscreen. Your buddies are only $20
and will need to fill out a waiver to attend.
If any other student, not already attending camp, would like to join us
for one day Wednesday June 18, you may attend for $20 the whole day.
Arrive at 9 am, t-shirt, shorts, sunscreen, water gun, lunch and a water
bottle.
TESTING: We have a large high rank population testing this Saturday,
should be excellent. We still have several white-blue belts working hard
to test on Thursday, there is still time to register for testing. All
belts and patches have been ordered for those with their names on the
sign-up sheet. A few of you need to complete your payment. If you are
close, let's go for it. There will be a few changes coming after this
testing, announcements will occur on Saturday at awards.
AWARDS will occur for both testings at the conclusion on Saturday no
earlier than 11:30 am. Bring a small potluck item with you on Saturday.
Agenda: Thursday: 4:30 pm warm-up/open floor; 5:15 pm TESTING BEGINS
(we need a couple of high ranks to assist with this testing). After the
testing, there will be an open floor until 7:45 pm for anyone that wants
to go through their material in advance of Saturday's testing.
THURSDAY DAY CLASS - WE WILL STILL HAVE OUR NORMAL ADULT DAY CLASS THIS
THURSDAY. WELL MANNERED KARATE KIDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND ANY THURSDAY
CLASS THROUGHOUT SUMMER UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE EVENT CALENDAR.
We have had a lot of new students join in recent weeks, including several
new adults. With that said we will be having an extra promotional TESTING
opportunity for WHITE-YELLOW BELTS ONLY on Thursday, July 24 at 6:30 pm.
If you were not quite ready because you are new to the school and would
like to test for your next belt, you may earn it between now and July 24.
