Hi students, well it is here! T-SHIRT MONTH! Any color ATA T-shirt
preferred, however, if you don't have one, please wear either red/white or
blue this week and next! Please wear white or black martial art pants
with belt. On Thursdays, regular black sweats are okay with t-shirt by
all.
An order is being placed today (in about an hour) for a small shipment of
Gum Do (swords) for our Extreme Ninja Sword Camp the week of July 21. If
you are planning to attend and would like the sword (in lieu of using foam
noodle or bahng mahng ee), please let me know ASAP! Next week is World
Championships in Little Rock, Arkansas so these will likely sell out!
I would like to welcome the many new students to our family. Last night's
beginning class was AWESOME!! Also welcome to the many new adults to our
program. We are excited you are here!
SPECIAL SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. We have regular classes tonight (Tuesday) and
tomorrow (Wednesday). However THURSDAY, we are closed in the evening and
all Saturdays during July. This Thursday, we have a special 11:00 am
Karate Kid's Class followed by a 12:00 noon Adult class.
Our focus this week and next is on the memorization of all our new
material with a focus on eye contact and proper technique (especially the
correct "beginning" position for all hand and foot techniques). Consult
with an instructor for more information. It is key to attend as many
classes as you can over the next two weeks to get a great start to this
session. If you have a vacation planned be sure to alert the instruction
staff PLUS mark your days out on your attendance cards BEFORE you leave.
Thank you.
July is GOALS FOR RELATIONSHIPS month. Reports are due by July 15 or
earlier. Who can you reach out to this month, a friend, a relative, a
grandparent, a neighbor? What does it take to develop and sustain great
relationships with those in your life?
See you on the mat! Don't forget your WATER BOTTLE!!
