Hi students,
There is much to share. This week, I'll be sharing in class all the happenings from ATA Worlds 2014. It was absolutely incredible. If you are on FACEBOOK, you've probably seen the many photos and updates in all of ATA land.
There were 49 new masters/sr. masters/ch. masters this year, a new Worldwide ATA patch debut, amazing demo teams, competition, business and school operation training, I even had a workout with Ch. Master Ozuna and GM In Ho Lee. Our own Kathleen Kenney completed the ATA BJJ (juijitsu) training, tested for 2BR at 400+ black belt testing and Kim Anderson competed in both the Tournament of Champions and Regular competition.
Ms. Taylor Anderson, Ms. Kenney (and her mom) and I also toured the ATA World Headquarters.
Next week (July 21) we start our last summer camp, Xtreme Ninja Warrior Sword Camp (there is still a few spots left!!!) This camp will be at our school on Mon, Wed, and Fri and in at the Ken Caryl ATA on Tues, Thurs. Plan to wear either red or black t-shirt with your white or black taekwondo pants and belt. Arrive ready to go Monday at 9:00 am with your lunch, sword, gear and a great ATA Attitude.
Our school is being used to host a Black Belt Hapkido testing this Friday night and an adult Hapkido tournament this Saturday. This is a spectator event if you would like to see some Korean Hapkido (joint locks, ground fighting, etc.) in action on our floor. We have had many seminars in the past, and Dante James, will be in attendance this weekend at the event as well.
